When I was entering full adolescence, when I was 14, I
started to like two things that were very different from each other: on the one
hand, assuming the typical masculinity of those times, I liked rock and metal;
while, in turn, I was going to study at a public lyceum in the center, which
led me to know different realities and love Javiera Mena's pop. About this last
one I want to refer to in the following blog.
I really did not like
pop much, much less the Chilean. However, as was always the influence of
"The Prisoners", listening to Javiera Mena at first was not
difficult, on the contrary, with time I liked more and more.
I had already begun to
listen almost daily with classmates to her first album, called "Esquemas
Juveniles". Although just that year 2010, she released her new album
called "Mena".

From then on I only remember with friends from school, and
friends I had at the Liceo 7 in Providencia, enjoying what was a re-discovery,
not only musical, but also about ourselves, our sexuality and deep down, what
It is what we wanted for our lives in the future.
For me, the next song also called "Esquemas
Juveniles" summarizes, in part, my adolescence.
